Panasonic today unveiled the new Lumix FX80 compact digital camera. What makes this camera interesting is that it has a 3-inch touchscreen LCD display with touch autofocus. The 12.1-megapixel camera also provides a 24mm f2.5 wide angle lens, a 5x optical zoom and a variety of filter effects such as Expressive, Retro, High Dynamic, Sepia, Dynamic Monochrome, High Key, Low Key, Miniature Effect, Toy Effect and Soft Focus. What's more, the Panasonic Lumix FX80 also supports Full HD video recording. Unfortunately, there is no info on pricing or availability so far.

The 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee was the first home for Chrysler's Pentastar V6 engine. As you may recall, the powerplant was codenamed "Phoenix," and it was charged with replacing seven other engines in 11 models in the Chrysler and Dodge lineups. Along with it being a well-regarded piece of engineering, its sheer ubiquity goes a long way toward explaining how in just 18 months the Trenton, Michigan plant that produces it has cranked out a million of them. The 3.6-liter V6 is rated from 283 horsepower up to 305 hp, and can be found under the hood of front-, rear- and four-wheel drive vehicles in varying transmissions.

Samsung's unannounced GT-I9070 Galaxy S Advance shows up

In case you thought that Samsung is done updating the original Galaxy S lineup, you were wrong. A yet to be announced Samsung Galaxy S Advance has emerged in photos and a YouTube video, thus bringing yet another member to the device family, which the I9000 Galaxy S started two years ago. The upcoming smartphone, which carries the GT-I9070 moniker sports a dual-core CPU, clocked at 1GHz - a first for a Galaxy S phone. Its design has been refreshed as well - the device sports a slightly curved screen and a 3.5mm audio jack at its bottom, a la Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

The rest of the known specs are practically unchanged from those of the I9000.

Upcoming Qualcomm MSM8960 GPU benchmark score surfaces

Qualcomm's upcoming 28nm based Snapdragon SoCs, codenamed Krait, are expected to arrive later this year. But a NenaMark 2 benchmark score on an unidentified device has leaked ahead of launch. In this benchmark, we see this unidentified device, probably just a reference unit, running the MSM8960 processor with the Adreno 225 graphics. The device has a display resolution of 1024 x 600, same as 7-inch tablets but despite the higher resolution, it posts a rather impressive score of 54.90 in NenaMark 2.

To put that number in perspective, we compared it to our own score of the Galaxy S II running the same benchmark.

. Asus is reportedly working on Windows 8 laptops that are equipped with Microsoft's Kinect technology. The Daily recently reported that it was able to “check out” two different prototype laptops that “appeared” to be made by Asus. The Kinect sensor was built into the area where a notebook's camera would typically reside, and The Daily also noted a set of LEDs below the screen. Microsoft reportedly confirmed that the notebooks were Kinect-enabled prototypes.

Samsung Galaxy S III may not be announced at MWC 2012

Although everyone is expecting Samsung to showcase its new Galaxy S III at MWC 2012 in Barcelona next month, this may not happen. According to The Verge and "people familiar with the mater", Samsung has decided to postpone the new handset's official announcement for an event that should be held "before summer.". German website BestBoyz seems to have the same info.

The reason for the alleged delay is not known.

Sony will launch a new MP3 player ‘Walkman NW-E060′ in Japan. This compact player has a 1.4-inch LCD display, a 2GB or 4GB of storage, an FM radio, a five-band equalizer, Sony's Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) and a 30-hour battery. The Walkman NW-E060 will go on sale from February 11th for about $115 and $140, respectively in black, blue, pink and red color options.

Apple sells a record-breaking 37 million iPhones in Q1, 2012

Despite being called as a "disappointment" by skeptics the iPhone 4S, coupled with the iPhone 4 and the 3GS helped Apple post the highest iPhone sales figure so far. Just in Q1, 2012 alone, Apple sold (not just shipped) 37 million iPhones, which is an astonishing figure whichever way you look at it. Compared to last year's figures, this year's figure is up by an amazing 128 percent. In the previous quarter, Apple managed to sell "just" 17 million iPhones, a number that has been bested by 117 percent, this quarter. This quarter's figure also eclipses Samsung's 35 million smartphone shipments (not sales) that they reported last quarter.

Siri capabilities expanded thanks to jailbreak apps

. There are plenty of reasons for savvy iPhone users to jailbreak their handsets, the most obvious of which is access to applications that provide functionality beyond what is allowed by Apple. The third-party app store is packed with hundreds of terrific unsanctioned apps and now that the iPhone 4S has been jailbroken, there is a new wave of utilities we can look forward to: Siri tweaks. Two of the first apps to hit Cydia that extend the capabilities of Apple's digital personal assistant are VoiceUtils and SiriToggles, and both apps add sought after new functionality that Apple hasn't yet enabled.

As we reported earlier, it is now possible to perform an untethered jailbreak on an iPhone or iPad with the A5 chipset, as long as youÂ're running firmware 5.0.1 and below. In fact, over 953,232 people have done it in the opening weekend. GreenPois0n, the group behind the Absinthe release for A5, as well as the Corona release for A4, were able to capture the specific numbers due to unique SHSH queries made to the Cydia jailbreak app store sent every time a user jailbreaks his or her device.

Sony has extended their Walkman product line with the Z Series Mobile Media Player.  This Android 2.3 powered Mobile Media Player has a 4.3" touch screen, runs on a dual core mobile processor, has built-in WiFi / Bluetooth, micro HDMI port, and has Sony's S-Master MX audio technology to deliver a crisp audio experience.  It comes in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB, which you can pre-order for $249, $279, and $329, respectively.  Currently it only comes in black.
