Apple patent reveals a new method of wireless charging

Apple patent reveals a new method of wireless charging

While wireless charging does away with wires and does not require our phones to be connected, one of the drawbacks is that it still requires the charger itself to be plugged into the wall to draw energy which to a certain extent kind of limits its wireless capabilities. After all when you say wireless charging, what comes to my mind is the ability to take my phone with me around the house or a specific area without any wires and still have my phone charge at the same time.

2014 Mitsubishi Outlander unveiled with new look, standard seating for seven

The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander wears the new face previewed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, and adds a host of features on top of its seven standard chairs. Ditching the shark-nosed Lancer-inspired front has reduced drag, increased use of high-tensile steel means a 200-pound weight loss and the reworked 2.4-liter four-cylinder paired a CVT will all result in what Mitsubishi says is one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in the seven-passenger segment. Looks-wise, around the rest of the vehicle come sharper sculpting and more character lines.

Time Warner's CEO hopes that Apple makes a TV

Rumors of Apple's HDTV have been floating around for quite a while now, which for those who aren't familiar, blew the rumor mill's doors wide open when Walter Isaacson's biography on Steve Jobs contained a quote from Apple's late co-founder at having finally cracked the TV code. At this point in time many have only speculated at what this alleged TV would hold, but in the meantime it seems that some big names have expressed their interest in Apple launching such a device. One of them is Time Warner's CEO, Jeffrey Bewkes, who told Business Insider that he hopes Apple makes such a device.

When it comes to the social networking space, there are a number of major players, such as Facebook, Twitter and recently Google+, albeit the latter does not have quite the same amount of clout as the former two. That being said, it seems that Google's Bradley Horowitz in an interview with Business Insider was quoted as calling Facebook a "social network of the past", and pointed out that the way Facebook introduced their ads was annoying and frustrating both users and the brands that are being advertised.

Auto Manufacturers Developing Cars With Biometric Sensors

Car manufacturers are racing to develop technologies that can measure heart rate, blood pressure, and other biometric responses. The cars are equipped with so-called biometric sensors and they can track a driver's vital health signs, including pulse, breathing and skin conductance. The technology is already present on a few Lexus and Mercedes-Benz models. For example, these cars will beep and flash a coffee-cup image to remind the driver that he or she is getting drowsy and that it's time for a break.
Mercedes-Benz already owns a technology called Attention Assist which comes pre-installed on its C-class sedans and S-class models.
