As many as 1 million iPad 3 units will be manufactured in the last quarter of the year alone. The next generation iPad (or the iPad 3) will launch in 2012, as we've reported earlier. Another report also says that a new and smaller version of the iPad called iPad Mini will also be released around the same time. This again leads us to wonder if two iPads will be launched next year. But, that's not likely to be possible.
Interestingly, the iPad Mini, if launched, will compete with the likes of Kindle Fire and should be priced similarly which could be around $200 and released in the first quarter of 2012.
