LG announced that its first quad-core smartphone, the Optimus 4X HD P880, will be officially available next month (June), in "key markets starting in Western Europe.". First announced at MWC 2012 in February, the Optimus 4X HD comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 4.7 inch HD IPS display, 1.5GHz Tegra 3 processor, 8MP backside illuminated camera, 1080p video recording, 1.3MP camera on the front, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a 2130 mAh battery (this uses a new technology called SiO+, providing "higher energy density for more power and longer run times without adding bulk to the phone's already svelte form factor").
