If there's one thing we wish Canon would have done differently with the EOS M mirrorless camera is its autofocus speed. The camera while decent overall was found to have a pretty slow autofocus speed by most reviews, including our own, which admittedly can be pretty frustrating at times. Well the good news is that after all the leaks and rumors, Canon has officially announced the EOS M2 in Japan. For the most part it seems that the earlier leaked specification were right as the official announcement has confirmed an 18MP APS-C sensor and will come with Canon's DIGIC 5 processing engine on board.
