According to Dolby, their Digital Plus audio technology has been built into Microsoft's Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate, but will it find its way into Microsoft's upcoming Windows 8 operating system. After all it was only last year that Dolby warned their shareholders that their Digital Plus technology might not make it into Windows 8, but it looks like Microsoft might have had a change of heart. Today Dolby has announced that Digital Plus would be part of Windows 8's client release, a move which we're sure will sit well with those who might be a bit more discerning when it comes to audio quality.
