The new tabeo tablet from Toys R Us fills the niche for kids who want a tablet computer just like Mom's or Dad's, but who aren't old enough for the responsibility of caring for expensive, delicate devices.  The tabeo runs Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich” on its ARM Cortex A8 @ 1 GHz processor with 1GB of RAM.  The 7" capacitive TFT LCD screen has a resolution of 800 X 480.   It has 4GB of memory, but you can expand that with microSD cards.  Its rechargeable lithium-polymer battery allows 6-7 hours of video playback, 10 hours of general use / surfing, or 35 hours of music playback.
