If you think that the current slew of car security systems fail to impress you, this new car security system from the Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology in Tokyo might just do the trick. Some researchers have come up with a special seat that can identify drivers when sitting down. The seat is filled with 360 pressure sensors that can detect the weight distribution and area of contact that a person sitting on a chair would have. According to experiment results, the seat managed to identify drivers with 98% accuracy.
