Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 announced by Cricket as its first tablet

Cricket Wireless has officially announced that it would offer the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 starting tomorrow, December 16. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will become the carrier's first tablet. It will come in a Wi-Fi-only 16GB version, costing $499.99. Customers can also bundle the tablet with a Cricket Crosswave mobile broadband device, but that'll cost them $594.99.

Already available via other US carriers (including Verizon and T-Mobile), the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 currently runs Android Honeycomb, but it will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich next year.
