In a world where technology is rapidly advancing and with 4G LTE networks on the rise, there aren't too many users out there who are that reliant on 2G networks these days, although admittedly 2G networks do help by conserving battery on our smartphones compared to 3G or 4G. Either way if you're still on a 2G phone and have yet to upgrade to a 3G or 4G capable handset, you might want to do so soon as AT&T has announced their plans to phase out their 2G network, whose spectrum will then be used for newer technology.
