Ten days ago a report surfaced claiming that Samsung was still unsure if it would update the Galaxy S II and the original Galaxy Note to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which is now the latest version of Google's mobile operating system. There were ongoing tests, that were supposed to tell the Korean company if it should bother. The good news is that these updates have now been ‘confirmed', so to speak. Though not by Samsung itself, sadly, but some ‘insiders' who spoke to SamMobile and said as much.
The Galaxy S II should get its taste of Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean in September or October.
